Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Obstetrics/Gynecology physician in Ketchikan, AK. The assignment runs 26 weeks with a start date of 12-07-26, paying between $1,700 and $1,900 per day.

The schedule includes standard 8-hour shifts with on-call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology procedures, and the afloat facility is Critical Access. Travel and lodging are provided as part of the assignment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in OB/GYN accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by ABOG or AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
• Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds and other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform surgical procedures such as hysterectomies and cesarean sections as scope allows.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
• Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception and family planning.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and stay current with advances in OB/GYN.
