Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a locum OB/GYN physician for an on-site contract role in Kankakee, Illinois. The position covers obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum management.

The ideal candidate is board-certified/eligible in OB/GYN with MD/DO credentials, active IL license, and 2–3 years of clinical experience. 24-hour in-house coverage and paid travel expenses are included.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN.
• Active Illinois medical license.
• Minimum 2-3 years obstetrics/gynecology experience.
• Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients of all ages.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic procedures.
• Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for expectant mothers.
• Conduct deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections.
• Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system.
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency obstetric coverage as required.
• Ensure compliance with all medical, legal, and regulatory standards.
