Job summary

Aya Locums is seeking a locum Obstetrics/Gynecology physician for an assignment in Elkins, West Virginia. The position offers a 24-hour on-call schedule with standard 8-hour shifts and a roughly 26-week length, starting in December.

You will work within an acute care hospital setting providing comprehensive women’s health care. Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO, board certification in OB/GYN or active WV license, and have at least one year of obstetrics/gynecology experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in obstetrics and gynecology (ACGME or AOA) in good standing.
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology (ABOG or AOA) or active license in WV.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all life stages.
• Conduct gynecologic exams and ultrasounds.
• Perform surgical procedures as scope allows (hysterectomies, cesarean sections).
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
• Provide counseling on reproductive health and family planning.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and stay current with OB/GYN advances.
