Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare in Iowa is seeking an experienced OB/GYN locum tenens to provide hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care. The assignment includes pager coverage from 5 pm to 7 am with an average of 100+ deliveries per month, and weekends typically involve 4–7 deliveries.

Approximately 25% of cases are high-risk obstetrics. Weatherby offers paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and 24/7 access to a Weatherby consultant; Weatherby is a charter member of NALTO.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa medical license or license eligibility.
• BLS and NRP certification required.
• Fetal monitoring skills and obstetric case experience required.
• Ability to cover hotel pager calls during evenings and nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital-based setting.
• Manage approximately 100+ deliveries per month.
• Cover pager shifts 5pm–7am including weekends (4–7 deliveries).
• With about 25% high-risk obstetric cases, monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies.
