Job summary

AVA Search Group, LLC is seeking a Locum Hospital Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a Memphis area assignment. Work alongside an experienced physician and APP team with strong clinical variety and shared admissions. The role offers near-Memphis access and paid travel, with shifts from 2 p.m.

to 2 a.m. through year-end and possibly beyond. Requirements include MSN/Master’s degree from an accredited NP/PA program and an active Tennessee license; prior hospital medicine

• Hospital medicine experience with admissions and acute cross-coverage.
• Active Tennessee NP or PA license.

Responsibilities

• Handle admissions with the on-call MD until 7 p.m.
• After 7 p.m., rotate admissions with other APPs while cross-covering acute floor issues.
• Approximately 20–25 overnight admissions divided among 3 APPs.
• Travel: paid travel and expenses.

High-impact hospital medicine assignment at a leading hospital less than 30 minutes from Memphis, working alongside an experienced physician and APP team. Offers strong clinical variety, shared admissions, easy access to everything the Memphis area offers.

Why This Assignment

• Assignment Dates: Coverage needed through December 31 and possibly beyond
• Schedule: 2 p.m.–2 a.m.
• Cover at least 5 shifts per month
• Handle admissions with the on-call MD until 7 p.m.
• After 7 p.m., rotate admissions with other APPs while providing cross-cover for acute floor issues
• Approximately 20–25 overnight admissions divided among 3 APPs
• Work with on-call physician support and APP colleagues
• Travel: Paid travel and expenses

About You

• Be able to do the job as described.
• MSN/Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program

• Clean background strongly preferred
