Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound).
• Prepare accurate, timely radiology reports.
• Communicate critical findings promptly to physicians.
• Collaborate with clinical teams for patient management.
• Review prior imaging to assess disease progression.
• Recommend additional imaging when needed.

This on-site, full-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide diagnostic imaging expertise and contribute to patient care within a dynamic clinical environment.

As a Locum Radiology MD, you will interpret diagnostic imaging studies, deliver accurate and timely reports, and collaborate with referring physicians and clinical teams to support informed treatment decisions. This associate-level role is well suited for a licensed physician looking to apply their radiology expertise across a flexible contract engagement in the Medical Practice industry.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound
• Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely radiology reports
• Communicate critical or urgent findings promptly to referring physicians
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning
• Review prior imaging studies to assess disease progression and changes over time
• Recommend additional imaging or follow-up studies when clinically appropriate
• Adhere to radiology protocols, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in peer review and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with medical practice policies
• Support the practice's commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio
• Completed residency training in Radiology
• Proficiency in interpreting multi-modality diagnostic imaging
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and diagnostic accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a contract setting
• Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and ethical practice

Schedule: Weekdays, 8a-5p

Call: Weeknights (5p-8a) and weekends (Friday 5p-Monday 8a)

Daily Volume: 5-8 procedures

Required Procedures: Central venous access, percutaneous biopsy/drainage, mesenteric arteriography, venous/DVT/IVC filter, trauma embolization, nephrostomy/biliary

Must be board-certified
