77 Consultants is seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine physician for an on-site contract in Indiana. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries, making rapid clinical decisions in a dynamic ED environment.

Responsibilities include procedures, diagnostics, and coordination with nursing staff and consultants while maintaining documentation compliance and patient-centered communication.

Formación

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Emergency Medicine residency completion.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
• Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license.

Responsabilidades

• Order, interpret, and act on labs, imaging, and procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized emergency treatment plans.

• Collaborate with consultants and admitting teams for disposition.
• Document encounters per regulatory standards.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.
• Stay current with EM guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Description

. This is a contract, on-site position at the Associate experience level, offering an opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care within a dynamic clinical environment.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, making sound clinical decisions under time-sensitive conditions. You will work closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and consultants to ensure seamless, patient-centered care throughout your assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients presenting to the emergency department with acute medical and traumatic conditions
• Perform timely and accurate diagnostic assessments, including physical examinations and clinical reasoning
• Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinical protocols and best practices
• Perform emergency procedures such as wound repair, central line placement, and airway management as required
• Collaborate with consulting specialists and admitting teams to coordinate patient care and disposition
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards
• Provide clear communication and compassionate counseling to patients and their families
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and adhere to patient safety protocols
• Maintain current knowledge of emergency medicine guidelines, clinical research, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine ("MD") or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine ("DO") degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the State of Indiana
• Current DEA registration and valid controlled substance prescribing privileges
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (ATLS preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the contract

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Schedule: 9 or 12-hour day, night, or swing shifts

No call required

Annual Patient Volume: 11,120-52,000 based on facility

Support Staff: APPs at most facilities

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS required
