Job summary

Palm Careers seeks a Vascular Surgery PA or NP for a 26-week locum tenens assignment at a Level II Trauma facility near Charlotte, North Carolina. This role provides inpatient vascular surgery coverage with a predictable schedule and no clinic responsibilities.

Schedule features four 10-hour day shifts per week and a 1:4 weekend rotation. First assisting is not required but preferred. Active NC PA/NP license and inpatient vascular surgery experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina PA or NP license required.
• Vascular surgery experience strongly preferred.
• Inpatient hospital experience required.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the vascular surgery team.
• First-assist experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient vascular surgery coverage and work collaboratively with vascular surgeons and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Daily patient rounds and follow-up care.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the vascular surgery team.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with admissions, consultations, and discharges.
• Perform procedures within the provider's scope of practice and facility privileges.
• First assisting in the operating room when needed within scope.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
