Job summary

General Healthcare Resources is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens inpatient oncology assignment in Spokane, WA. Start ASAP for 13 weeks, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 8-hour days, 40 hours per week with approximately 15 patient encounters per shift.

The role requires oncology/inpatient oncology experience, WA license or IMLC eligibility, DEA registration, board certification, and strong APP experience in an inpatient hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of oncology or inpatient oncology experience required
• Active Washington state license or IMLC eligibility
• DEA registration required
• Board certification required
• Strong advanced practice provider experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• Ability to provide complete credentialing documents promptly for expedited review

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology coverage for hospitalized patients
• Assess, diagnose, and manage oncology-related conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support coordinated patient care
• Document patient encounters accurately and follow established hospital protocols
• Support daily rounding, treatment planning, and ongoing patient follow-up
