Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate locum Hematology/Oncology physician opening in Eureka, CA. The assignment runs for 13 weeks at a rate of $450–$500 per hour, with a standard 9-hour shift from 08:00 to 17:00 and on-call coverage. Start date is 10-01-26.

Acute Care Hospital setting with competitive pay and dedicated support. Requirements include MD/DO, ABIM or AOBIM board certification, CA medical license, and fellowship in Hem/Onc. Prior clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in internal medicine (ACGME or AOA).
• Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat hematology/oncology patients, including chemo/immunotherapy/targeted therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and manage side effects.
• Coordinate care with other specialists and document patient records.
• Educate patients about diagnoses and treatment options for informed decisions.
• Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.
