Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a Gastroenterology physician for locum tenens in Marquette, MI. Coverage spans multiple dates with a schedule of Mon–Fri, 8 hours, including nights and weekends, and a beeper call type with a 20-minute response time. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided by the agency.

Facility EMR systems include Cerner and Athena among others. The role requires board-certified GI physicians, MI licensure, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and ATLS, with

Qualifications

• Board certification in Gastroenterology (BC).
• MI medical license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
• Fellowship in GI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG tube placement.
• Manage inpatient consultations and provide overnight and weekend call coverage.
• Review pathology results and communicate findings and follow-up to patients.
• Document all procedures and patient encounters in the EMR systems (Cerner, Athena, Paragon, EndoPro).
• Collaborate with the Endo Unit team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient procedure room utilization.
