Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions is assisting a facility in northeastern Arizona by placing a General Surgeon for locum coverage. Schedule is typically Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with call, and daily volume ranges from 2 to 8 procedures.

The role requires performing colonoscopy/EGD, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and laparoscopic appendectomy, with the ability to perform scopes and manage common cases. Travel and lodging are provided for the assignment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in general surgery (implied by locum needs).
• Ability to perform endoscopic procedures (scopes).
• Active, unrestricted state medical license accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum coverage as General Surgeon at a facility in northeastern Arizona.
• Perform colonoscopy/EGD, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, and other common cases.
• Adhere to facility protocol and patient safety standards.
