Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking physicians for locum tenens call coverage assignments in New Mexico. This role offers 2 weeks of coverage per month, potentially moving to full time, across three facilities.

You will perform laparoscopic and standard procedures and manage 8–20 patients per shift in time-sensitive cases. The position includes paid malpractice insurance, prepaid travel and housing, and ongoing support from a Weatherby consultant.

Qualifications

• Call coverage: 2 weeks per month up to full time
• 8–20 patients per shift
• Coverage across 3 facilities
• Emergency general surgery call coverage
• Laparoscopic surgery and standard procedures required
• Coverage for departing and reduced FTE surgeons
• Average to high patient volume with time-sensitive cases
• Minor orthopedics experience preferred
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
