77 consultants seeks an Associate-level physician for an on-site gastroenterology locum opportunity in McHenry, IL. You will deliver diagnostic and therapeutic GI services, including endoscopy and colonoscopy, while supporting the clinical team.

This contract role emphasizes high-quality patient care, collaboration with nurses and physicians, and adherence to protocols. Schedule includes 12-hour day, night, or weekend shifts; on-site coverage; Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Associate-level experience in gastroenterology or related practice.
• Proficiency in endoscopic procedures and GI diagnostics.
• Ability to work independently in a locum setting.
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology consultations and assessments.
• Perform endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Develop treatment plans for GI conditions.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists.
• Document histories and plans in EMR.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as indicated.
• Participate in on-call coverage.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide on-site coverage during contract.
