Aya Locums seeks a gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Charleston, WV. The position is a physician role in gastroenterology with a 26-week duration and 24-hour on-call coverage (07:00–07:00 shifts). Compensation is $375–$400 per hour, with on-site responsibilities in a float pool facility.

Applicants should be board certified in gastroenterology, hold MD or DO, and have WV license active or in progress. Prior gastroenterology and endoscopy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in internal medicine (ACGME or AOA).
• Gastroenterology fellowship may be preferred.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and treat digestive disorders in adults (and possibly children).
• Take patient histories and conduct exams.
• Order and interpret tests such as endoscopies, imaging and labs.
• Perform endoscopic procedures as permitted by scope.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with surgeons and radiologists.
• Educate patients on digestive health and disease prevention.
• Maintain complete medical records.
