Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Tacoma, Washington.

Enjoy a team-based primary care setting focused on preventive medicine, relationship-building, and whole-person care, with flexible scheduling and strong clinical support. The position features outpatient-only duties, 10-15 patients per day, extended visit times, and no inpatient responsibilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency.
• Board Certified through ABFM, ABIM, or AOA.
• Minimum 3 years of primary care experience.
• Current Washington license or ability to obtain.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience working in a team-based primary care environment.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine care.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide preventive care, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on whole-person care.
• Manage chronic conditions and coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate.
• Educate patients on wellness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Work collaboratively with health coaches and other members of the care team.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
• Apply appropriate medical coding and documentation practices, including Medicare Advantage and HCC coding.
