Aya Locums in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a locum Emergency Medicine physician for a 26-week assignment. Schedule includes standard 5 shifts, 10-hour days from 07:00 to 17:00, with no call.

Provide care to ED patients, perform exams, interpret tests and stabilize emergencies. Applicants should hold MD/DO and board certification in emergency medicine or related field, with Missouri license.

Formación

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in emergency, internal or family medicine or equivalent.
• Active Missouri medical license in good standing.
• Experience in emergency department settings preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with emergencies and acute illnesses in the ED.
• Perform history taking, physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and stabilize life-threatening conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute medical/surgical emergencies.
• Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, wound care and splinting.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions.
• Prescribe medications and manage pain effectively.
• Communicate with patients, families and healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
