Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens assignment in Hancock, Michigan. You will join an 11-bed ED with experienced nurses and an available advanced practice provider.

The on-site position runs for about 7 weeks (Dec 8, 2026–Jan 23, 2027) with a daily patient volume around 36 and a weekly pay range of $6,480 to $7,670. An orientation is required before shifts begin.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
• At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience.
• Valid physician licensure and credentialing eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat ED patients across a broad acuity range.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient emergency care in a Level III trauma setting.
• Manage approximately 36 patient encounters per day.
• Coordinate disposition and admissions/transfers as clinically appropriate.
• Document care in the Meditech EMR and collaborate with ED staff.
