77 consultants seeks a Locum CRNA to deliver anesthesia services in a contract, on-site setting. Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, intraoperative anesthesia administration, postoperative care, and thorough documentation in a collaborative perioperative team.

The ideal candidate is board-certified, graduates from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and holds NBCRNA certification with active RN/CRNA licensure in Minnesota or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• NBCRNA certification and active RN/CRNA licensure or eligibility in Minnesota.
• Board-certified CRNA required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures
• Preoperative patient assessments and anesthesia care planning
• Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status intraoperatively
• Manage airway emergencies and intraoperative complications
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and OR staff
• Provide postanesthesia care and safe recovery transitions
• Document anesthesia records and medication administration
• Adhere to protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Maintain knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, and equipment
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education

Description

This is a contract, on-site role within the Medical Practice industry, offering an opportunity to deliver high-quality anesthesia care in a clinical setting that values patient safety and professional excellence.

As a Locum CRNA, you will provide anesthesia services to patients across a range of procedures, working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, effective, and individualized care. This associate-level role is ideal for an experienced nurse anesthetist looking to apply their clinical expertise on a flexible, contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures
• Conduct comprehensive preoperative patient assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
• Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological status throughout procedures
• Manage airway emergencies and respond promptly to intraoperative complications
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and operating room staff to coordinate care
• Provide postanesthesia care and ensure patients are safely transitioned to recovery
• Document anesthesia records, medication administration, and patient outcomes accurately
• Adhere to institutional protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines
• Maintain current knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, and best practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Current and valid CRNA certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
• Active, unrestricted state licensure as a Registered Nurse and as a CRNA in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain it
• Associate-level experience in clinical anesthesia practice
• Proficiency in airway management, regional anesthesia, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology and equipment operation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexibility and adaptability to work within varied clinical settings and schedules

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call shifts, specific dates

Case Types: Bread-and-butter general cases; no trauma or OB

Must be board-certified
