77 Consultants is seeking a qualified Locum CRNA for the Anesthesiology department. The role covers pre-anesthesia assessments, anesthesia administration, and monitoring across inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaboration with surgeons and teams ensures patient safety and efficient care.

Schedule: Trauma Level III setting, Tuesday–Friday 7a–5p, Epic EMR, board-certified or board-eligible. Paid travel and expenses provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
• Current CRNA certification.
• Active RN and APRN licensure.
• DEA registration with ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate-level clinical anesthesia experience.
• Solid airway management, pharmacology, and hemodynamic monitoring knowledge.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Locum flexibility and reliability.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with care teams.

Description

This role within the Anesthesiology department of a medical practice offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality anesthesia care to patients while working alongside experienced physicians and healthcare professionals.

As a Locum CRNA, you will provide anesthesia services across a range of surgical and procedural cases, conducting pre-anesthetic assessments, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients throughout their procedures and recovery. This associate-level position is ideal for a dedicated nurse anesthetist who values patient safety, clinical precision, and adaptability in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and review patient medical histories


• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans for surgical and procedural cases


• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia as appropriate


• Continuously monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia depth throughout procedures


• Manage airway interventions, fluid balance, and emergency responses as needed


• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure coordinated care


• Provide post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery care in accordance with protocols


• Document anesthesia records, medications, and patient outcomes accurately and timely


• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements


• Adapt quickly to changing clinical needs and varied practice settings as a locum provider

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program


• Current, unrestricted Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification


• Active and unrestricted state RN and APRN licensure


• Current DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances


• Current BLS and ACLS certifications


• Associate-level clinical experience in anesthesia practice


• Strong knowledge of airway management, pharmacology, and hemodynamic monitoring


• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills


• Flexibility and reliability to meet locum assignment schedules


• Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with the care team
