This associate position suits licensed nurse anesthetists seeking flexible engagements. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program with active CRNA certification and Texas RN license.

Qualifications

• Nurse anesthesia program graduate with active CRNA certification.
• Current Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain one.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required and current.
• Experience in anesthesia across diverse procedures preferred.

Responsabilités

• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care across cases.
• Preoperative assessments and anesthesia plan development.
• Monitor anesthesia depth and vital signs; adjust as needed.
• Manage airway emergencies and intraoperative events.

This contract, on-site role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality anesthesia care within a leading medical practice environment.

As a Locum CRNA, you will deliver safe, patient-centered anesthesia services across a range of surgical and procedural cases, working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing staff, and perioperative teams. This associate-level position is ideal for a licensed nurse anesthetist seeking flexible, short- to medium-term engagements in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care to patients across scheduled surgical and procedural cases
• Conduct comprehensive preoperative patient assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia depth throughout procedures and adjust care as needed
• Manage airway emergencies and respond promptly to intraoperative complications
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide postoperative pain management and recovery monitoring in the PACU
• Accurately document anesthesia records, medications, and patient outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols at all times
• Participate in clinical handoffs and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
• Adapt quickly to varied facility workflows and patient populations as a locum provider

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program and current CRNA certification
• Active, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in the State of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Associate-level clinical experience in anesthesia care across diverse procedure types
• Strong proficiency in airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and regional anesthesia techniques
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills
• Flexibility to adapt to locum assignments, varied schedules, and new care environments
• Preferred: Experience with electronic health record systems and multi-facility locum placements

Schedule: 8- to 10-hour day shifts

In-house call shifts required
