Job summary

77 consultants seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the surgical services team in New York. Shifts run 10 hours from 7 AM to 5 PM, four days per week, with mandatory Monday and/or Friday availability and a capped 40-hour week.

An alternate 12-hour shift schedule (7 AM–7 PM) is available for three days weekly, with similar Monday/Friday requirements. Credentialing typically takes ~120 days; temporary Florida licensure may speed this to ~60 days.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• NBCRNA board certification is required.

Job description

Shift Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM, 4 days per week. Availability to work on Monday and/or Friday is mandatory. Maximum weekly hours are capped at 40.
• Weekend Commitment: Required to work one weekend per month.

Case Types:

• The caseload primarily includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Robotics, Obstetrics (C-Sections mandatory; epidural skills beneficial but not essential), Radiology, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, ENT, and Neurosurgery. Trauma cases are excluded. CRNAs may perform their own nerve blocks as needed.

Predominant Case Types:

• Majority centered on General Surgery, Orthopedics, GI, and Robotics.

Additional Qualifications:

• Cardiac case experience is advantageous but not a prerequisite.

Shift Variants:

• An alternative schedule of 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM is available for 3 days a week, with a requirement to work Monday and Friday, or one of those days.

Credentialing Timeline:

• Standard credentialing takes approximately 120 days.
• For temporary credentials, a clean file and a valid Florida license can expedite the process to 60 days.
