Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a qualified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum-tenens assignment in Duluth, MN. The role involves full cardiothoracic coverage, inpatient care, and a 24-hour call schedule with a 1:2 call ratio.

Candidates must hold fellowship in CT surgery, board certification, and MN licensure or IMLC eligibility, along with ACLS and ATLS certifications. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided as part of the arrangement.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery is required.
• Board certification or eligibility in cardiothoracic surgery is required.
• Active medical licensure in MN or eligibility via IMLC.
• ACLS and ATLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical coverage including open and endoscopic surgeries.
• Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for cardiothoracic patients.
• Perform on-call duties as part of a 1:2 call rotation with 20-minute response time.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, anesthesia, and support staff.
• Document patient encounters in Epic EMR and adhere to hospital protocols.
