Job summary

Curative is seeking locum cardiovascular/ thoracic surgeons to cover a mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiac cases in Texas. The role includes 24-hour call coverage, with the ability to start quickly via temporary privileges. Adult-only case mix includes CABG and standard lung biopsies, with APPs supporting postoperative rounds.

Successful candidates must hold an MD or DO, TX license, and be board-certified or board-eligible within 5 years. DEA is required to practice in this capacity.

Qualifications

• Must be an MD or DO.
• TX medical license required; please have license to practice.
• Board Certification in Cardiovascular or Thoracic Surgery, or Board Eligible within 5 years.
• DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for CV surgery.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative rounds with the dedicated cardiac team.
• Perform general adult cardiac and thoracic procedures as part of a mixed practice (CABG, biopsies).
• Coordinate with APPs for post-operative rounds and care.
