Job summary

Palm Careers is staffing a full-time locum Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner near Fruitvale, CO. This 24-hour on-call role supports a team with 2–3 cases daily and offers a temporary assignment in gods country of Colorado.

Start: May 2025. End: 6-12 months. Requirements include Colorado license, EVH, and BLS/ACLS (AHA). Travel is covered and compensation is on a 1099 basis with additional call-back pay.

Qualifications

• Colorado license to practice medicine or eligibility
• BLS/ACLS – AHA certification required
• 24-hour call schedule; 7–10 shifts per month

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery team; support 2–3 cases daily
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs and OR staff to ensure timely patient care
