Aya Locums in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a locum Cardiology physician to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Start date 12-01-26 for a 13-week assignment with 5, 10-hour shifts 07:00–17:00.

This role requires MD/DO, internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship preferred, board certification, and Indiana license. Prior cardiology experience is valued; travel and lodging coverage and malpractice support are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in internal medicine accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Fellowship training in cardiology (may be preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans for cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (where subspecialty permits).
• Educate and counsel patients on heart disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons and specialists for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and stay updated with cardiology advances.
