Job summary

VCA Klingele, an AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Quincy, IL, seeks a DVM to join a collaborative medical team delivering progressive and high-quality veterinary care. The hospital features a dental suite, ultrasound, laser therapy, rehabilitation, and access to advanced diagnostics.

You will participate in a mix of general practice and urgent care, with a focus on autonomy, efficiency, and maintaining high standards of medicine in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in IL, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care in a low-stress environment with Fear Free and Feline Friendly handling
• Collaborate with a collaborative medical team to deliver general practice and urgent care services

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Open seven days per week
• Hospital hours: 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekend schedule
• No overnight on-call responsibilities

Cases

• Broad mix of small animal general practice cases during the week
• Urgent care and same-day sick cases primarily seen on weekends
• Soft tissue surgery and dentistry
• Internal medicine and diagnostic workups
• Fear Free and Feline Friendly handling protocols
• Access to advanced diagnostics and strong referral partnerships when needed

Total Rewards

As a VCA Associate, eligible full-time employees will be rewarded with a comprehensive package, including:

Compensation

Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. The salary range listed is 110,000 to 150,000, based on a 40-hour workweek.

This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
