Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a general anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage in Virginia Beach, VA. Adults required; pediatric cases preferred.

Shifts are typically Mon–Fri with flexible 8, 10, or 12 hour options and a 1:4 call rotation, with weekend call rotation. In-house 24-hour CRNA support; responsibilities include spinal, epidural, regional, OB, spine neuro, and complex vascular/ortho cases with ventilation management and line placements.

Qualifications

• General anesthesiology required with emphasis on adult patients; pediatric preferred.
• Experience with spinal, epidural, regional anesthesia and OB anesthesia is expected.
• Ability to manage ventilation and perform central/arterial line insertions.

Responsibilities

• Provide general anesthesia for adults with pediatric cases preferred.
• Perform spinal, epidural and regional anesthesia as needed.
• Manage ventilation and place central/arterial lines; support complex vascular/ortho cases.
