Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate locum anesthesia opening in Buffalo, NY. The role is a physician position in anesthesiology for a 13-week assignment starting 11-01-26, with shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, no call, and a hospital setting. Compensation is $325–$340 per hour.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive anesthesia care across perioperative phases, collaborating with surgical teams, and documenting care while maintaining patient safety and staying current with advances in the field.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in anesthesiology accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in anesthesiology (ABA or AOA).
• Active NY medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for various procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to plan patient care.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia per case needs.
• Continuously monitor vitals and adjust anesthesia levels.
• Respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology.
