Job summary

Palm Health Resources is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum contract at a premier academic medical center in Northern New England. The assignment features stable 2–4 week blocks, no call, and weekday hours 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with inpatient OR shifts only.

Compensation targets $400/hour with travel, lodging, and car rental covered. Malpractice insurance is provided, and opportunities to supervise residents may be available.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist required.
• Active Vermont license or IMLC compact required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient hospital ORs only (no clinic).
• General anesthesia with intubation, IV placement, spinals; arterial & central lines as needed.
• Non-OR anesthesia support (IR, EP, endoscopy).
• Team includes CRNAs, AAs, and senior residents; supervision as applicable.

Assignment Overview

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | No call
• Setting: Inpatient hospital ORs only (no clinic)
• Scope:
  • General anesthesia
  • Intubation, IV placement, spinals, rare epidurals, arterial & central lines
  • Non-OR anesthesia (IR, EP, endoscopy)
  • No hearts, no OB, no nerve blocks
• Team: Mix of solo cases and supervision of CRNAs, AAs, and senior anesthesia residents (no fellows)
• EMR: Epic

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Eligible (must sit for boards within 7 years of residency)
• Active Vermont license or IMLC compact (required)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a care team
