Job summary

Watco is seeking a Locomotive Mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain locomotives in accordance with company policies and FRA regulations. This role requires providing quality customer service and ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain FRA certifications, and may hold a Class B CDL. On-the-job training and career advancement opportunities are available through Watco's programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to complete railroad apprenticeship if required.
• Class B CDL preferred/able to obtain.
• Able to pass FRA-related certifications and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain locomotives per company policies and FRA regulations.
• Provide customer service aligned with company expectations.
• Record FRA reports and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure safety equipment and systems are in proper working order.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
