Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• At least 18 years of age or older by the start date.
• Ability to report to the designated work location.
• Ability to work safely in the described conditions.
• Ability to work the stated shift/hours.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Color vision and ability to distinguish signals and alarms.
• Ability to use hand tools and climb ladders.
• Ability to work at heights and in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect, and repair electrical components of locomotive systems and shop machinery.
• Maintain and repair locomotive alternators, generators, motors, power control systems, cabinets, lighting and wiring.
• Inspect and repair shop equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Work in a safety‑sensitive environment under varied weather and noise conditions.
