The Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a locksmith to install, maintain, and repair locking systems within a secure facility. You will check operation, disassemble and repair locks, and fabricate keys using a key cutting machine. You will also keep records of locks, doors, and assigned keys, and manage inventory.
Under supervision, you’ll perform related duties as assigned and contribute to facility security and safety through diligent workmanship and adherence to procedures.
The annual salary listed for this position includes the additional $1.50 per hour maximum security differential ($3,120 annually) for all full-time positions domiciled in a maximum-security institution.

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years! If you are transferring from another State of Missouri agency and are receiving state retention pay, please be advised that the Missouri Department of Corrections administers retention based upon your retention anniversary date. As a result, your retention pay upon transfer may differ from what you were receiving at your previous agency until you reach your applicable retention anniversary date.
