Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Locksmith to install, adjust, maintain, repair and replace locks and integrated security systems on our university campus locations. You will handle access control devices, door hardware and related security equipment, including changing combinations and making keys.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, locksmith certification or apprenticeship, and a valid driver’s license. Expect varied shifts and potential travel between sites as part of your role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; locksmith certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between locations may be needed.
• Ability to install, maintain and repair locks and access control devices; NFPA codes knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, maintain, repair and replace locks and security systems.
• Work with clients on access control and property security.
• Maintain Master Key systems as needed; use hand and power tools.
• Attend shifts on time and adhere to client requirements.

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $30 per hour - $34 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Locksmith, you will be a key member of the Sodexo team and will install, adjust, maintain, repair, and replace all types of locks and integrated security systems, access control devices, and other types of lock hardware such as latches, door checks, and panic bars, including changing lock combinations and making keys.

Responsibilities include:

• Use hand and power tools, and special equipment to install, repair and replace locks, security systems, and access control devices.
• Work with Sodexo's clients with access control and securing the property.
• Assist in the maintenance of Master Key systems as needed.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

• Maintain current locksmith licensure as applicable to the jurisdiction.
• High School Diploma/GED, locksmith certification from a vocational school, and/or apprenticeship preferred
