Qualifications

Direct deposit of pay is required and TDY up to 25% of time.

Responsibilities

Operate lock and dam gates, control valves, and related equipment for passage of vessels.
Secure towlines and assist pilots during lockages, including signaling and positioning vessels.
Perform maintenance and repair work on lock and dam machinery, electrical, or mechanical tasks.
Assist with seasonal site tasks (grounds, cleaning, snow removal) and operate required equipment.
Coordinate with boat pilots to obtain data (passengers, tonnage, origin/destination) and document lockage events.
