Job summary

The Walt Disney Company, via Disney Television Animation, is seeking a Location Design Lead for an on-site role in Glendale, CA. You will work closely with the Executive Producer, Art Director, and production team to execute the creative vision and maintain consistency across the series.

The position requires a strong portfolio, mastery of 2D art translation, and ability to manage design assets and revisions within production schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to align with style and sensibility of show
• Ability to translate reference into 2D art
• A portfolio demonstrating your ability to design in a variety of tones and styles
• Knowledge of drawing software that includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Harmony and 3D technology, where applicable
• Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible
• Excellent organizational, verbal, written, e-social skills and acumen

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Executive Producer(s), Art Director and Producer to execute the show's creative vision.
• Ensure consistent style across the series with the team.
• Apply line, shape, and details to approved background designs.
• Coordinate with Location Designers to maintain style before reviews.
• Break down Location Design needs for each episode.
• Distribute Location Design tasks when Art Director is unavailable.
• Support re-use and library management.
• Lead art reviews when Art Director is unavailable.
• Ensure high quality and timely production per schedule.
