The stand-in works behind the scenes with camera, lighting and the crew to establish lighting, framing, focus and blocking. Responsibilities include taking the principal actor’s position during setups, reproducing movements and blocking, and maintaining consistent placement.

Qualifications

• Stand-in experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow precise blocking and camera/lighting cues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SI Otis stand-in on NBC’s Chicago Fire.
• Take the principal actor’s position during lighting and camera setups.
• Reproduce movements, marks, and blocking during technical rehearsals.
• Assist camera and lighting departments by maintaining accurate positioning.
• Follow detailed instructions from assistant directors and production crew.
