Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our Malakoff, TX team. The role offers weekly pay, benefits after 30 days, PTO from day 1, and a home-daily schedule with early dispatch starting around 5:00 AM.

The driver will deliver to sites within Texas, operate day cabs with manual transmission, and handle flatbed freight, including brick and building materials. Hourly work averages exceed 50 hours weekly with eligible annual bonuses up to $2,200.

Qualifications

• CDL A license and endorsements as required by the position.
• Minimum 9 months flatbed or 2 years within last 5 years (or 5 years within 10 years) as per the job post.
• Ability to pass Ryder drug test, background checks, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Maintain Accurate records and logs; load/unload as required.
• Assist in loading/unloading freight when needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Pay & Schedules

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.665 per Mile
• Solo Stops Pay:$21.79 per Stop with
• Hours Per Week: 50 + hours per week
• Up to $2200 in annual bonuses and more at 2 years
• Schedule: Monday – Friday with occasional overnight
• Start Time: Dispatch 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM

Driving Duties

• Deliver SOLOwithin Texas
• Route: Home Daily
• Tractor Type: Day Cab must be able to drive a manual
• TrailerType:Flatbed - 6 months of flatbed required
• Equipment: Truck Mounted Forklift
• Freight:Load Securement - Strapping - No Tarp

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
