Job summary

AFL manufactures industry-leading fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories and provides engineering and installation services for some of the largest telecom customers in the world. The Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring that deliveries and pickups are completed timely and safely; may assist with packaging customer orders to meet delivery deadlines.

High School/GED or 1+ years of equivalent experience required, CDL (A or B) license, and familiarity with Oracle and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or 1+ years of equivalent experience.
• CDL license (A or B) is required/preferred.
• Oracle software experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup from suppliers and offsite warehouse.
• Package inventory to meet delivery requirements.
• Perform picks and inventory transfers in Oracle to support deliveries.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.
• Support warehouse, receiving, and shipping needs as required.
• Follow safety policies and DOT/regulatory requirements.
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Adhere to PPE requirements at all facilities.

The Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring that deliveries and pickups are completed timely and safely. The incumbent may also assist with and be responsible for packaging customer orders to meet delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup from suppliers and offsite warehouse
• Package inventory according to requirements
• Perform correct picks and inventory transfers in Oracle to support customer deliveries and maintain inventory accuracy
• Cycle count experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Correctly complete discrete jobs to deliver manufactured accessories to customer(s) or stock
• Cross functional responsibilities to include receiving/inventory control and/or shipping to support the Warehouse/Logistics needs
• Supports and adheres to the safety and environmental policies of AFL
• Operate commercial vehicles safely while following DOT, and company regulations.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required.
• Follow PPE requirements at all facilities.
