Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for FirstChoice staffing across Trinity Health locations. This part-time night-shift role offers premium pay and flexible scheduling via the mobile staffing program.

The RN will float within the hospital and across regions, adhering to standard nursing processes and maintaining licensure. They must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg, Tele, or PCU experience, with 2+ years for other specialties; ACLS/PALS/BLS credentials are

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in the applicable state(s).
• 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU; 2+ years for all other specialties.
• Specialty credentials (ACLS, TNCC, etc.) per area; BLS/ACLS/PALS must be through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Apply professional nursing process (Assess, identify outcomes, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Act independently within license, scope and experience.
• Maintain accountability for delegation and decisions; monitor outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support quality improvement.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate
• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
