Job summary

Walgreens Local Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to direct store operations, oversee clinical management of patients, and improve sales, profits, and asset protection through staff development and service excellence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with providers, enrolling patients in assistance programs, complying with BOP/DEA/Medicare, managing inventory and budgets, scheduling staff, and ensuring timely reporting.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Current pharmacist license in the state or willingness to obtain by start date.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling and verification, records and compliance.
• Experience with prescription dispensing activities and knowledge of state/federal laws.
• Willing to travel up to 20% for business.
• Experience in leadership/management roles (internal candidates emphasized).

Responsibilities

• Directs the operation of the store (front-end and pharmacy).
• Improves prescription numbers, pharmacy sales, profit, and image through accurate filling and courteous service.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and payer contracts.
• Maintains reporting, inventory control, and third-party billing and reporting.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, payroll budgeting, and overtime controls.
• Oversees staff licensure and training and ensures regulatory compliance.
