Local News Now is seeking a go-getting, detail-oriented reporter for ARLnow, our flagship local news publication in Northern Virginia. The reporter will cover a variety of stories, primarily local business and breaking news, including reporting, photography, and creating Reels for social platforms.

We value prior reporting experience but will consider recent graduates with a solid track record. Local knowledge of the DC area and proficiency with WordPress, Slack, Notion, and multimedia tools are

Qualifications

• Experience in reporting preferred, but recent grads with a demonstrated track record will be considered.
• Prior local knowledge of the DC area is preferred.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Slack, Notion, and multimedia tools is desired.

Responsibilities

• Report on a variety of stories, primarily local business and breaking news.
• Perform photography and recording/editing of Reels for Facebook and Instagram.
