Job summary

Lakes Gas is a family-owned propane provider serving the Midwest with a local feel at 60+ locations. The Delivery Driver role is a local route, home every night, requiring a Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a DOT medical card.

Primary duties include delivering propane and tanks to residential and commercial sites, plus equipment maintenance and safety compliance. Strong customer service and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain)
• Clean driving record verifiable by FMV
• Pass DOT physical and maintain DOT medical card
• Must read/write/communicate in English
• Comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Must be safety conscious and customer service oriented
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of maint/needed supplies
• DOT Hazmat Training and maintenance every three years
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites
• Provide first-class customer service on every stop
• Maintain and upkeep of company and customer equipment and plant
• Operate in outdoor weather conditions
• Assist with maintenance duties as needed
