Job summary

Conser Moving and Storage is seeking a Non CDL Driver / Mover. Responsibilities include operating a 26-foot straight truck, inspecting for safety, logging hours and mileage, and handling packing, loading, and unloading of goods, while maintaining a professional appearance and courteous conduct with customers.

Requirements include a pre-employment background check, a valid DOT card, at least 6 months of driving a 26' truck, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (100 lbs with

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background and drug screening required.
• Active DOT card prior to start date required.
• Minimum 6 months experience driving a 26' straight truck.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds with assistance.
• Household/commercial moving experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 26-foot straight truck.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues; report for maintenance.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles; retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with trucking rules and company safety policies.
• Assist with packing, loading, transportation and unloading.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing the company.
• Work within the specified man-hour estimates.
• Wear company-approved uniform; present professionally.
• Be courteous and respectful of customer property and space.
• Display good manners when entering customer homes or offices.

Responsibilities Of a Non CDL Driver / Mover

• Driving a 26-foot straight truck
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and inform for preventative maintenance.
• Document and log work / rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (Size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well has company safety policies and procedures.
• Assists/helps with the packing, pick-up (loading), transportation, and delivery (unloading and placement) of household goods and commercial equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Behaves in a professional manner.
• Performs work within the specifications of the estimate of man hours.
• Must wear company-approved uniform and maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company and providing service to customers.
• Display professional conduct, courtesy, and manners when entering and performing work in the customer's home or office.
• Respectful of customer's property and personal space.

Requirements Of a Non CDL Driver / Mover

• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Must maintain company driving record standards which includes an active D.O.T. card prior to start date
• Must have experience of 6 months driving a 26' straight truck.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and 100lbs assisted.
• Household / Commercial moving experience is a plus but not needed.
