Job summary

UNIS Transportation is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for local LTL and FTL work. This first-shift position runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with flexibility for start/end times based on daily operations.

You will move non-hazardous freight across our local network using box trucks and 53' tractors/trailers, with both automatic and manual transmissions. We seek dependable drivers with a strong safety record who take pride in customer service and efficient, on-time

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL.
Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
Experience with LTL and/or FTL operations preferred.
Ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions.
Experience operating both box trucks and 53' tractors/trailers preferred.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Acceptable MVR and DOT/Safety record.
No DUI's or major driving violations.
Must pass required drug and alcohol testing.
Must pass a background check.
Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, vehicle inspections, and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

You will transport non-hazardous freight throughout our local delivery network with consistent freight volume.
Depending on the day's operation, you may drive box trucks or 53' tractors/trailers.
Operate both automatic and manual transmissions as required.
Provide safe, reliable, and customer-focused service.
Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
