Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 10-week assignment in Gallup, NM. You will provide direct nursing care in a long-term care setting, administer meds, monitor vitals, and participate in care planning with the nursing team.

Local candidates only; 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours and a local assignment. BLS certification is preferred or obtainable. 36 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026.

Qualifications

• Local candidate in or near Gallup, NM or within a commutable distance.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts and meet guaranteed hours.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in New Mexico or eligible per regulatory standards.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in resident status; escalate changes promptly.
• Perform routine assessments and participate in care planning with the licensed nursing team.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and provide comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation in the electronic medical record; adhere to policy and privacy standards.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other care team members to deliver coordinated care.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures.
