This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape and grow a local team while delivering impactful infrastructure projects that serve our communities. Thelead willwork closely with Texas leadership to drive business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseecomplex projects for the design and delivery of public works, municipal roadways, trails, drainage, utilities, and/orsite development projects.
• Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plansand QA/QC oversight
• Monitor project performance, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a trustedpartnerto clients and public entities throughout the San Antonio/Austinregion.
• Lead project meetings, client presentations, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
• Support proposal development, RFQs, and business development initiatives.
• Build and grow the local infrastructure team in San Antonio (and support Austin as needed).
• Supervise engineers, engineers-in-training (EITs), and CAD designers.
• Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and career development supportand engagein industry organizations.

Technical Oversight

• Apply advanced technical expertise to ensure project‑specific standards and best practices are met.
• Manage design productionusing relevant software includingAutoCAD Civil 3Dorrelated tools as part of project executionand plan development.
• Oversee budget tracking, resource allocation, and overall project profitability.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (additional state licensure a plus).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in public works, utilities, municipal roadway, drainage, trails, or site development design.
• Strong project management, administration, and supervision experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with San Antonio‑area public agencies.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple offices.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency preferred
