Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking an experienced Owner Operator driver to join our team, supporting intermodal drayage across US ports. You will operate as an independent contractor with the flexibility to return home nightly.

We offer weekly settlements, access to the Comdata fuel program, and onsite parking. Hazmat/Tanker endorsements are preferred and port work may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 6 months tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• HAZMAT & Tanker Endorsements preferred.
• Owner-operator status preferred.
• Current DOT Medical.
• Good motor vehicle record.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections.
• TWIC card required for port work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an Owner Operator supporting Universal Logistics' intermodal drayage.
• Maintain home nightly schedule.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

Universal Logistics is seeking a dedicated Owner Operator driver to join our team in supporting our company's mission to provide exceptional logistics services.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
• At least 21 years old
• HAZMAT & Tanker Endorsed Contractors Preferred
• Owner Operator status preferred
• Current DOT Medical
• Good Motor Vehicle Record
• Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections
• Drivers will need obtain a TWIC card with ability to handle own port work when needed
