Job summary

Leick Construction, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Glenwood, IA. You’ll operate a variety of CAT and John Deere machinery on earthwork and site development projects, performing safety inspections and keeping equipment well‑maintained.

You’ll work with an experienced crew, stay local, and contribute to projects that shape communities. Reliability, teamwork, and safe operation are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers) and performing routine safety checks.
• Teamwork and communication with crew and foremen to keep jobs progressing.
• Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid loaders, tractors and other machinery to perform earthwork and site development.
• Complete daily safety and maintenance inspections and report issues to the team.
• Collaborate with foremen and transport drivers to coordinate work and maintain productive job sites.
