Job summary

Tevis - Modern Comfort seeks an Energy Delivery Driver to act as the customer-facing representative, delivering heating oil to residential and commercial tanks. Local deliveries, home daily, with emphasis on safety and DOT compliance.

Pay is $25-$30 per hour. Requires a Class B CDL, basic math and computer skills, and strong customer service. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform overtime during the heating season is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years driving experience preferred
• Current Class B CDL
• Basic math and computer skills
• High level of customer service focus
• Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol testing
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally and up to 100 lbs. pushing/pulling

Responsibilities

• Deliver heating oil to residential and commercial tanks
• Maintain DOT physical card and Hazmat/CDL compliance
• Comply with safety regulations and be safety conscious
• Complete all training on schedule
• Load/unload tanker truck (2800-4500 gallons)
• Maintain paperwork and digital records (load records, manifests, delivery tickets)
• Perform daily pre-/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep truck clean
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure accuracy of delivery and inventory records
• Work overtime and some weekends during heating season
• Participate in 24-hour emergency on-call rotation
